Membership

A regular active membership to the AICA has an initial fee of $125. Annual dues ($100) are due at the end of each calendar year to remain active. As an active member you will receive the Charolais Journal monthly. Active members also are responsible for electing their area director. Ballots are sent at election time. Active members also have a vote in Association business whenever brought before the membership at the annual membership meeting. This meeting must be held before April 30 of each year. Members are notified of agenda items which may require their vote. Completed membership applications can be mailed to AICA or e-mailed to msmithee@charolaisusa.com.

The American-International Junior Charolais Association (AIJCA) has separate membership and activities. Initial AIJCA membership fees are $30 and annual dues are $25. The AIJCA is a very active entity and sponsors a Junior National Show and Leadership Conference every year. Junior members are allowed to register cattle at member fees but do not have a vote regarding AICA business. As a bonus to becoming a member of AIJCA, new juniors will receive a free Charolais Journal subscription their first year of membership. When annual dues are to be renewed and a junior member has reached their 22nd birthday, a Junior to Adult Membership Form is to be completed to become an active (adult) member of the AICA.

This is a new service for the AICA membership to help promote herd bulls and cows. For a fee of $25.00 AICA will upload an animal picture to the “animal pages.” Each time someone pulls up your animal on the website, the picture of the animal will appear.

To have your herd bull or favorite cow included, you must supply a picture in either JPEG or TIFF format. To have your animal picture uploaded, or for more information, please contact the AICA office or send an e-mail to mschoen@charolaisusa.com. To have a picture removed, the owner must notify us and there will be no charge to remove the picture.
